Butter Naan

                                                         Butter Naan

This is from my friend swapna…….i made no changes except litlle bit less yeast.They r great and that to o made them on a tawa aren’t  they looking great as perfect naans……my hubby patted me saying good going…u too learned cooking…….

Ingredients:

All purpose flour………………..2 cups.

yeast…………………………………1/2 tsp.

yogurt……………………………….3 tbsp.

egg……………………………………1

butter……………………………….1tsp

salt…………………………………….1tsp

baking soda………………………1/2 tsp

sugar…………………………………1 tsp

luke warm water……………..3 tsp

warm water……. for kneading the dough

Method:

1.Mix sugar and yeast in luke warm water and set aside covering it for 10-15 mins.It starts to rise.

2.Now mix in a bowl flour and all the remaining ingredients and the yeast.

3.Add warm water if needed,knead the flour like u do for rotis.Be sure its not loose.

4.Knead for 5 min cover and set in warm place for 2 hrs.the dough raises again press it and leave for 1 hr.

Preparing Naan:

1.Now as the dough is ready,take a small ball size and press it in triangle shape.

2.Make triangle shape using rolling pin.

3.Heat tawa and place rolled naan on tawa.heat on both sides,dab with butter on both sides and set aside.

4.Serve hot with gravy curry like chiken tikka masala,chicken butter masala,navratan korma……….whatever u ike.

I had mine with mushroom gravy.They are absolutely delicious.Home made naan.
